- AlambicDistillation apparatus made up of a heated pot, a swan neck and a condenser. Copper pot stills and column stills each shape the aromatic profile of the distillate.
- Aluminium soudéWelded aluminum refers to aluminum elements joined by welding, including structures and boat hulls. Alloy, filler metal, process and preparation influence the joint. The term does not guarantee strength, load capacity or regulatory compliance: these properties must be verified for the product and its application.
- Assemblage mécaniqueStage where fabricated parts are built into sub-assemblies or finished products: fastening, riveting, insert installation, component integration and functional checks. Outsourcing assembly reduces on-site installation labor.
- BiofoulingBiofouling is the accumulation of organisms on immersed surfaces such as hulls and propellers. It can alter surface condition and requires prevention and maintenance planning. Foul-release coatings aim to facilitate removal and are not necessarily biocidal. Selection depends on the substrate and operating conditions.
