Privacy Policy

ManuGEO Inc. ("ManuGEO", "we") operates the ManuGEO.ai platform. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we use it, and your rights under Quebec's Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector) and Canada's federal PIPEDA.

1. Privacy Officer

In accordance with Law 25, ManuGEO has appointed a Privacy Officer. You can reach them at: confidentialite@manugeo.ai.

2. Information we collect

Account: name, business email, preferred language, hashed password.

Company data: business name, sector, website, products and services you publish voluntarily in the directory.

Billing data: processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We keep a customer ID and invoice history, but not your card number.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, server logs (kept for 12 months max).

Communications: content of messages you send through the contact form or by email.

3. Purposes of use

Provide and operate the ManuGEO service (directory listings, GEO optimization, AI content generation).

Manage your subscription and billing.

Improve the product (aggregate analytics, no individual identification).

Respond to your support requests.

Comply with our Canadian legal and tax obligations.

4. Legal basis and consent

We process your data based on the service contract you accept at sign-up, and on your explicit consent for marketing communications (where applicable). You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Disclosure to third parties

We never sell your personal information. We share strictly necessary data with subprocessors bound by confidentiality: cloud hosting (Canadian and North American providers), payment processor, transactional email providers, AI inference providers.

Content you voluntarily publish in the public directory (company description, products, FAQs) is publicly accessible and indexable by search engines and AI engines.

6. Transfers outside Quebec

Some of our subprocessors may be located outside Quebec (notably in the United States). Before any transfer, we assess that the information receives adequate protection under Law 25. You can request the current list of these transfers by writing to confidentialite@manugeo.ai.

7. Retention period

Account and company data: subscription duration + 24 months after termination, then deletion or anonymization.

Billing data: 7 years (tax obligation).

Technical logs: 12 months max.

8. Your rights

Under Law 25, you have the right to: access your information, request correction, withdraw consent, request deletion (right to be forgotten), request portability, and be informed in the event of a confidentiality incident.

To exercise a right, write to confidentialite@manugeo.ai. We respond within 30 days.

You may also file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI).

9. Security

TLS encryption for communications, at-rest encryption for the database, role-based access control, admin access logging, daily backups. In the event of an incident posing serious risk, we will notify you without undue delay, as required by Law 25.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies (authentication, language preference) and aggregate analytics cookies. No third-party advertising cookies.

This policy may be updated. The last update date is shown at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated to you by email.
