A Québec-based platform makes Canadian manufacturers visible in AI search engines like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini

Montréal (Québec), June 25, 2026 — ManuGEO.ai, a new Canadian SaaS platform, today officially launches its service of manufacturer profiles optimized for generative search engines. Its mission: enable Canadian industrial companies to be found and cited by AI assistants — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity — at a moment when buyers and prime contractors are moving away from traditional directories toward conversational search.

The diagnosis behind the platform is stark. The GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) audits run by ManuGEO show that a majority of Canadian manufacturing suppliers are today invisible when a buyer queries an AI assistant with prompts such as "who are the best CNC machining suppliers in Québec". The reason is technical: their websites do not expose the structured data that AI engines know how to read and cite.

"When a purchasing director asks ChatGPT instead of Google, the supplier who has not optimized its presence for AI simply does not exist in the answer," explains the ManuGEO.ai team. "This is not an industrial quality problem. It is a visibility problem. And it is reshuffling the deck of manufacturing business development."

ManuGEO.ai generates, for each company, a public geolocated profile structured to the standards favored by generative engines: schema.org JSON-LD data, citable FAQs, capability and certification descriptions. Unlike closed procurement platforms, these profiles are public and indexable, and therefore accessible to both traditional search engines and AI crawlers.

The initiative is part of a broader movement to structure Canadian manufacturing data. It aligns with the work of the Centre de Valorisation des Données Manufacturières (CVDM), which is building a national reference database for industry, and echoes the priorities of the Canadian advanced manufacturing ecosystem — notably Next Generation Manufacturing Canada (NGen), the industry-led organization steering Canada's Global Innovation Cluster for advanced manufacturing and bringing together more than 5,000 members. Strengthening domestic supply chains and easing access to local suppliers sit at the core of these priorities.

Built in Québec, the platform covers all of Canada and serves manufacturers, industrial distributors and industrial service providers. ManuGEO.ai is entering an activation phase aimed at listing a large volume of companies across the country.
