FRUne ration totale mélangée (RTM) regroupe plusieurs ingrédients alimentaires mélangés avant leur distribution au bétail. Un mélangeur permet de préparer ce mélange; sa configuration dépend des ingrédients, des quantités et des conditions d’exploitation. La formulation nutritionnelle doit être adaptée au troupeau. Le mélange ou l’automatisation ne garantit pas à lui seul un résultat zootechnique.
ENA total mixed ration (TMR) combines several feed ingredients mixed before being distributed to livestock. A mixer prepares this blend; its configuration depends on ingredients, quantities and operating conditions. Nutritional formulation must suit herd requirements. Mixing or automation alone does not guarantee an animal-performance outcome.
