FRLa fabrication à façon consiste à confier à un fabricant la réalisation d’un produit selon les spécifications convenues avec un client. Dans l’alimentaire, le mandat peut couvrir le développement de recette, les essais, la production ou l’emballage selon le contrat. Il faut préciser les responsabilités concernant ingrédients, allergènes, contrôles, étiquetage, propriété de la recette et traçabilité. La fabrication à façon ne garantit pas à elle seule une certification ni la conformité d’une allégation commerciale.
ENContract manufacturing entrusts production to a manufacturer according to specifications agreed with a client. In food manufacturing, the scope may cover recipe development, trials, production or packaging depending on the contract. Responsibilities for ingredients, allergens, testing, labeling, recipe ownership and traceability must be specified. Contract manufacturing alone does not guarantee certification or the compliance of a marketing claim.
